Hewlett-Packard Enterprise (HPE) will acquire Nibmle Storage for $1 billion in cash. Nimble was a new storage provider with a full flash storage solution.

HPE would like to improve its 3PAR product line with Nimble Storage. HPE would also like to use Nimble's InfoSight "predictive analytics platform across its storage portfolio."

Antonio Neri, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Enterprise Group said in the blog post, "InfoSight's ability to monitor customer deployed infrastructure from the cloud, apply machine learning and predictive analytics to radically simplify operations and deliver a transformed support experience is a key differentiator in the storage market."
